The Willy Russell Season at the West End

Limited Season 8th July to 30th October

The Menier Chocolate Factory's sell out season of Willy Russell plays is coming to the West End for a limited time.

Educating Rita stars Tim Pigott-Smith as universitey professor Frank, and Laura Dos Santos as the brash young hairdresser who discovers a passion for English literature, in a 'glorious' production (Evening Standard).

Shirley Valentine stars Meera Sal in 'London's Best Comic Performance' (Time Out), as the Liverpudlian housewife who rediscovers her zest for life following a trip to Greece - and an encounter with the local Casanova...

Both productions run at
The Trafalgar Studios, Whitehall, SW1A

COMING NEXT

NEXT! Seensee Theatre Company, Seoul, South Korea. Shakespeare’s ‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’ adapted by Glen Walford. Glen’s original production was staged at Tokyo Globe starring Ikuta Toma in 2007 and was a complete sell-out. She has now re-adapted the production for Seoul with music composed and arranged by Ben Goddard. Toru Shimakawa’s original Tokyo Globe set is being adapted for the production.

This production will open at the Se-Jong Arts Center on July 17th and play until August 28th 2010.

Two Gentlemen of Verona at the Globe Theatre, Tokyo in 2007 now re-adapting for performance for Seensee Theatre at Se-Jong Arts Centre, Seoul.

Glen directed 'Blithe Spirit' by Noel Coward for the newly-formed Gale Theatre Company. Read review...
The company policy is to bring well respected actors from the uk and to work with experienced Bajan actors. The production will be set in Barbados in the year of Independence 1967. Performances for Holders Festival (open-air theatre), West Coast, Barbados on March 16th and 19th 2007 and at the Frank Collymore Hall - Bridgetown, Barbados March 22nd - 26th 2007.

  Glen's production opened on May 17th 2005 - 'Shirley Valentine' for Seensee, Seoul. Shirley was played by Son Sook www.sonsook.co.kr    
  Glen's production of 'Rocky Horror Show' for Mondavi Centre, Davis, California was from February 14th 2005.
'Cabaret' produced by Fuji Television Network for Globe Theatre, Tokyo opened October 8th, 2004
'Blood Brothers' produced by Seensee Theatre Company, the production opened at Polymedia Theatre, Seoul, South Korea on July 4th for an open-ended run.
 
  Glen led two workshops at the Actor's Centre on 11th and 12th March 2005. 'Hamlet's players' and 'How to be epic'.    
  Glen directed 'Breezeblock Park' at the Liverpool Playhouse and a new production of the musical 'Blood Brothers' by Willy Russell for Fuji Television Network for the Aoyama Theatre, Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.
   
   

In 2003 Glen directed Gilbert and Sullivan's 'HMS Pinafore' which was the first in-house production for the 1,800 seat theatre at the Mondavi Centre, Davis, California, U.S.A.
